Racquetball Professional. 
Started playing in 1981 at age 11 in Odessa, Texas. He won his first Junior National Championship in 1986 in doubles. Mike then won the 18 & under National Singles title in 1988 and then followed that up with the World Junior Title later that year. In 1989, he again won the National Championship becoming the first person in the sport to win the title in consecutive years. Mike began his full time touring professional career in 1991 and climbed as high as #3 in the World in 1995. In 1999, he was hired to coach The Chilean National Team for the Pan-Am Games where they won their first ever medals in the Pan-Am Games.
Later that year, he won the US National Doubles Championships to earn a roster spot on the US National Team for the 4th time in his career. In 2000, he competed in the World Championships in Mexico and placed 2nd in doubles and then placed 2nd later that year in the US National Doubles Championships. Meanwhile, Mike had left the Chilean Team to become the Assistant Coach to the US National Junior Team for the years 2000-2001 where the team won the World Championships both years. In 2001, Mike once again won the US National Doubles Championships as well as placed 3rd in the National Singles Championships. In 2002 Mike won the National Singles title making him concurrent National Singles and Doubles Champion. While playing for the US Team, he and his partner won the Tournament of Americas in Bolivia in March 2002 and will compete for the US Team in the World Championships this summer in Puerto Rico.
Mike also continues to play the Pro Tour ( IRT ) where he is currently ranked #7 in the World. He has not finished a season outside of the top ten since 1992.
